Project Manager for Sustainable Energy Use

Your Responsibilities – Help Shape the Energy System of the Future
Buildings play an increasingly important role in the energy system today, not only as energy users but as active resources for supply, storage, and sharing of energy. As a project manager, you will be a key person in driving the development towards more energy-efficient and resource-efficient buildings.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and assignments throughout their lifecycle, from initiation and planning to implementation and closure.
Some Common Tasks:
- Lead and coordinate investigations and government assignments.
- Work with consultation responses and implementation of EU directives in the area.
- Investigate and propose steering instruments for resource-efficient energy use with the role of buildings in focus.
- Conduct analyses of the effects of policy measures in dialogue with other authorities and industry actors.
- Act as an internal strategic advisor and coordinate environmental monitoring in the area of building.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic education that we deem relevant for the position. We also see that you have current experience leading complex projects and knowledge of building energy use. Likewise, experience in energy efficiency and buildings as energy systems as well as the role of buildings in the energy system.
Furthermore, you need to have a very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, as well as good knowledge of IT systems and programs.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working with project models.
- Experience in analysis, modeling, and calculations related to knowledge of building energy use.
- Experience working with investigations in public/state activities.

Good to Know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. Positions within the Swedish Energy Agency may be placed in a security class, which means security clearance and background checks according to the provisions of the security protection law. In the case of permanent employment, it may be relevant to be placed in the agency during wartime.
